Then came the National Lockdown.
The reality of how much this year would impact all of our lives became a stark reality across industries. The full impact is still unfolding for many in the events industry, even as we near the end of this unprecedented year

Protecting our family at PSS, and supporting our clients were our first priority.
We were grateful for government support and we were glad to know that our staff team has a strong foundation of relationships to remain connected at a distance, supporting each other through the months of uncertainty.
We had a choice, wait it out and hope for the future or expand our existing virtual event provision.
As we are not very good at sitting still, we began the process of expanding.
Technology has always been our passion
Since 2006, our team has always sustained a collection of equipment that is up to date with the latest technology.
We maintain, deliver, install and operate our equipment, taking the greatest of care to ensure our stock is ready to work at maximum capacity for every event.

Virtual Events
New to 2020? Well, no. The technology has existed since the early 1990s, and we have been offering virtual events at Production Support Services since the beginning.
What was new was how technology was being used.
Live feeds on social media have become a staple diet for many entrepreneurs and businesses and we found 2020 to be an opportunity for us to expand the way we run our events and explore new ways of enabling our clients to increase their reach.
What are the benefits?
As delegates to large scale events attend virtually from their bedrooms, dining tables or sitting on the sofa, the lack of travel immediately brought environmental benefits that may be one of the elements of 2020 we all look back on with a smile. As we have travelled less and wildlife has reclaimed spaces, the use of virtual events can continue to perpetuate this approach to bringing people together without generating a damaging carbon footprint for your specific event.
By removing the need to travel, you increase the size of your audience. A working parent living in the North of Wales may not be able to attend your London based conference. But allow them the opportunity to attend online and you open up your reach to people with barriers to attending that you may not even be aware of.
The cost of a face to face event can be eye watering for many companies, and even a barrier to achieving the vision and event goals.
